•Fulling Mill is a global manufacturer, distributor and retailer of top quality fishing flies, fly tying materials and other terminal tackle products. HQ is based in London (UK), it has offices and a distribution centre in Claremont (New Hampshire, USA) and a manufacturing facility in Kericho (Kenya, East Africa).
•Fulling Mill has been operating in the US since 2005 with a core focus supplying fishing flies to the Orvis multi-channel network. In 2015 the Fulling Mill brand was launched in the US alongside the Orvis business with the aim of increasing market share and bringing this heritage brand to a wider audience.
•Fulling Mill is seeking a candidate to lead and manage its US business through the next stage of its development in North America. This is a board level position which will report directly to the Managing Director of the global business based in London.
•Fulling Mill USA is currently at an important juncture with significant growth opportunities derived from its growing dealer base and expanding product offering. The brand is relatively new to the US market and the role offers the opportunity to lead a small company through this exciting phase of development as it looks to increase market share, grow revenues and become more established.
•The candidate will be responsible for all operational aspects of the business, including strategic development, new business initiatives, sales and marketing strategies, product development, HR and all manner of other decision making associated with running a small business.
•To aid you in your role you will have responsibility for an experienced team including a general manager, sales manager, technical manager, two admin and three warehousing staff. In addition you will also be responsible for running a team of (currently) two sales agents.
•Budgeting and finance will be managed in conjunction with the UK.

•A keen interest in fly fishing and experience in the fly fishing industry.
•Leadership and managerial experience including leading a team, setting strategy and achieving targets.
•A willingness to travel to attend trade and consumer shows, meet customers, sales agents and other Fulling Mill representatives across the US, both east and west coast.
•A keen appreciation of the sales & marketing function including experience running brand strategies including advertorials, e-commerce campaigns, blogs and social media.
•Experience developing and releasing new products into the market.
